No salt, and no more Altoids for me for awhile anyway...

Yippee! I cleared the mineral mix treatment. I am very excited and relieved about that. VERY much so.

Had salt mix treatment today. NOTHING with salt, sodium, etc. For the record as far as I'm concerned potatoes without some salt are totally worthless. The rest of dinner was good. Used pepper and garlic on the pork chop and had a little corn and some of the mini sweet peppers I'm so wild about.

No strawberries tonight. Sodium, but I can eat the cherries I got today. Fresh! YUMMY!

BIG deal is no coffee again because of sodium. However tea is OK as long as it's made with distilled water.

I LOVE salt. Love it! Love it! Love it! I crave salty food. Prefer chips, salted nuts, etc over chocolate any day. This indicates I needed this treatment for my body to assimilate salt. Obviously, I am not getting enough since I crave it. Always have.

Saw Kelly today and she talked about eating a piece of Baklava. That isn't something I'd eat a lot of, but it would be nice to have the option.

Next week...?????

  1. I commend you on your pursuit to health.
I too am doing NAET right now. I am in my salt mix 25hrs. Did you have a raging headache during your salt free time?
    Thank you,

  2. No Quay, I did not have a headache with that treatment. The treatment where I could not have coffee for 24 hours was a booger though. THE worst.

I hope you get good results from your treatments

  3. Hi, my wife is doing the NAET salt treatment next week and we're having trouble finding foods with zero salt/sodium. Even foods that the book recommends -- like potatoes -- have a few milligrams of sodium, according to caloriecount.com. We're finding that almost everything listed as 0% of your daily sodium intake still has a few milligrams of sodium when you look into it. Making matters worse, my wife can't eat beef or poultry (fish is ok). Can anyone offer any advice? Thanks!

  4. Hi,

It's been some time ago since I had the treatments, but if I remember correctly I referred to the list of allowed foods in the booklet my practitioner gave to me.

I remember unsalted rice and I think I did eat a plain potato with no salt, just pepper. Eat fish, rice low sodium fruit/veggies. It's only 24 hours to tough it out. I remember some of the treatments were quite difficult. Like the caffeine...no coffee was pure torture.
    I hope this helps.

  6. Yeah, we've been finding stuff with LOW sodium, just not ZERO sodium. It's good to know we might be able to get away with the low sodium foods like the potatoes.

I noticed you started this blog back in 2010. Do you mind if I ask how you've been doing with the NAET since then? Have you been able to re-introduce foods back into your diet? Have you had any "cured" allergies reoccur?

    Thanks!

  7. I had initially pursued NAET because I was hoping I could tolerate gluten afterward. I'm still gluten free because I have to be gluten free.

I think I do have some residual benefit, but frankly not enough that it was a good investment of time and money. The biggest benefit though, and I suppose this really IS a big deal is that I don't have to take several antacids a day just to get by. That's completely gone. Why? I have no idea. I'm glad. Was it worth nearly $2,000? Again, It's hard for me to give an answer. I did learn a lot and I still take enzymes, although not the very expensive ones recommended by my practitioner. I'm still looking for something that will eliminate the Restless Legs problem. Since going gluten free and improving my nutritional absorption, it's better, but still can be very distressing. Pamala wanted me to continue treatments in hopes she could eliminate it, but again, there's the financial end with no guarantee.
